What better way to 'update' things in your life or even your whole life with an image of the Ouroboros?
The old symbol of a serpent devouring its own tail.
The word Ouroboros is ancient Greek and literally means 'tail-eating'.
This self-swallowing creature ended up having many different meanings in different cultures and era's.
Google will tell you many stories and give you various explanations of its usage in many fields.
For me Ouroboros is above all a sign of eternal life, a cycle of life, a devouring of aspects of oneself, a rebirth.
And who wouldn't want to have a change at some sort of rebirth, another chance at life, leaving behind things that no longer serve you.
Maybe it even means that you have to devour those things that no longer serve you, so you can absorb the lessons they teach you.
For me it all started with an etching, like many of my designs, one of my first loves, then it became a tattoo on my son's arm, and finally a t-shirt.
