About CAE

I am CAE or Carol Ann Edelkoort an artist/etcher with a Dutch background, and I invite you to explore my world of art. With a passion for life drawing, fashion, copperplate etchings and the Old European Masters my artistic journey started in the Netherlands via Sydney, Australia to Byron Bay where I am lucky to draw inspiration from our beautiful surroundings. 

I thoroughly enjoy turning my original copperplate etching and drawings into poster prints, prints on t-shirts and on other products and be able to offer them for sale to a wider public and at much more lower prices.

Print on demand means that the print or other item you have ordered is produced only as and when ordered by you. Which gives it an affordable uniqueness and greatly reduces wastage and has a lesser impact on the environment.

Animals have always held a special place in my heart and I believe they deserve to be celebrated in art. From the unique Australian wildlife via our everyday cats and dogs to smallest insect. I love bringing all these majestic creatures to life in print, capturing their essence, and I invite you to connect with them and the beauty of nature.

Another recurring theme in my art is Love, one of most powerful forces in our lives. I believe that Love is worth exploring in all its forms, including its erotic aspects. Mindful of the complexities of human emotions, I portray my subjects with love, respect and where possible a touch of humor. My inclusive approach aims to ensures that everyone can find something to resonate with in my artwork.
